Messy Church
... starts with a creative explosion of ideas and activities around a Bible theme. We celebrate together as we learn from God and then share a meal for all the family.
Messy Church gathers from 4pm on the 4th Sunday of the month. Our short Celebration takes place at 5pm and we share a meal from 5.20 – 5.50pm close.
This year we have explored God’s love shown to families in the Bible. Glue and paint are in frequent use to illustrate parts of the story, and validate our Messy Church name. Cooking, sewing, building, play and puppets are all included. We’ve even recreated the plagues in Egypt, for those brave enough to get their hands dirty.
Celebration time allows us to share what we’ve been doing and worship God together with instruments and dance. Our story is then re-told with drama or illustrations, with voice-over DVDs proving an unexpected highlight!
Our dedicated kitchen team cheerfully serve food to one and all and we sit down together at tables to chat.
If you’re not sure you’ll fit neatly into a traditional Church Service, come and try us at Messy Church – we’d love to meet you!
